OFFICE CLOSURE EFFECTIVE 3-25-2020: Due to Franklin Mayor Ken Moore's announced stay-at-home order, our office will be closed for the next seven days. We will be checking voice mails. If you are needing to order contact lenses, please leave a message and we will get back to you. Otherwise, all glasses and contact lens orders will be directly shipped to you. We greatly apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding during this time.

Important Information Regarding COVID-19

At New Vision Eyecare, we are committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our patients, staff, and their families. As such, we are closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) as events unfold, and we are following the guidelines and recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and state and local authorities.

While our office already follows strict disinfection and sterilization guidelines, we have increased these efforts to help mitigate the spread of this disease. Actions taken include, but are not limited to:

  • Door handles, waiting area seating, sink faucets, and common surfaces are wiped down at least every half hour with 70% rubbing alcohol.
  • Pens, clipboards, chairs, and other handled items are being disinfected after each use with 70% rubbing alcohol.
  • Any frames that have been handled are being directed to specifically marked areas to be sterilized in a mixture of soap, water, and 70% rubbing alcohol in our ultrasonic cleaner before being returned to the board.
  • We have implemented precautionary screening for appointments made over the phone and for individuals entering the office. Please do not get offended if we ask you to reschedule or to leave; safety is of the utmost importance!
  • Contact lens trainings are not being offered until further notice to minimize risk to staff.

If you are in a high risk group – over age 70 or have a systemic disease – please reschedule your appointment.

We request that you stay home if you or anyone in your household:

  • Have traveled in the last 14 days to an area of high risk – with or without confirmed infected individuals
  • Have been in close contact with someone who has traveled to an area of high risk in the last 30 days, or who has had a fever, cough, difficulty breathing, or flu-like symptoms
  • Have had a fever, cough, difficulty breathing, or flu-like symptoms within the last 14 days

For the safety and health of our staff and our patients, if you enter our office with any of the aforementioned, you will be required to leave.

We understand that this is a difficult time and are doing our best to mitigate risk while continuing to provide the service you expect and deserve. We appreciate your consideration and, as always, we thank you for allowing us to take care of your eyecare needs.
